  Muriel,

I've attended a few of your guitar clinics at the Swannanoa Gathering in Asheville, NC and I'm a big fan of your music. Thank you for enriching our lives with your love of the guitar. Are you aware of any music composition software that allows a guitarist to play through a MIDI interface that transcribes the notes directly onto the staves for later editing and refinement? I know this can be done with brass and woodwind instruments. Is there such a thing as a MIDI guitar that could provide a direct input into the software? This would be a giant leap forward in sharing great music that has never been transcribed into tablature or standard notation.
Please book a gig in Austin TX next time you're down this way. The Austin Classical Guitar Society would be happy to assist you. http://www.austinclassicalguitar.org/site/index.php

Best regards,

John

You and I have something in common. We have both accomplished some amazing things on the guitar. You have developed the ability to play practically an entire band and in several styles on your guitar and make it look easy. Amazing! I have been playing for 30 years and I am still a lousy guitar player. Amazing! Not many people have done that you know.

The way I have accomplished that is by picking the thing up from time to time, strum pretty much the same songs I learned in the dorm at college and put thet thing away. So, now I've decided that I want to, not only become a good guitar player, I would like to push myself into being a true artist with my instrument.

Anyhow, my question is, (besides how the hell do you do that--ignore theat question unless you really have an answer I would understand) do you do any alternate tunings on your guitar?

Thanks
Rod

  Muriel,
Did you grow up on Highland Ave. in Downers Grove - if so we were neighbors. I just received notice that you will be playing a house concert in San Antonio on May 10th, so looking forward to it!

We LOVED meeting you and hearing your inspired music on Saturday at George's. He brought me my two Xmas harpguitar CDS last night.

How do I find your Obama music on line? You said I could download it somehow.

Many blessings and Aloha, Marilyn & Dale
